Operating globally, the SAE Universities teach music, media, television and film courses. We were entrusted to design and construct the newly acquired Liverpool premises. Eight recording studios were built alongside reception, control rooms, teaching facilities, communal areas, lecture theatre, library and staff area. The entire project was completed within the limitations of a listed Victorian building.
EI Projects were commissioned to design a specific set of acoustic requirements set out by SAE Education for a group of recording studios and control rooms and carry out the installation of corner bass traps, BAD wall panels, sound diffusers and absorbers to include final acoustic testing and commissioning.
EI Projects were commissioned to design motion capture and edit suites within the existing campus to include the installation of infinity curves, ‘Optic Green’ wall and floor finishes with a specific studio lighting rig to include final testing and commissioning.
EI Projects were commissioned to install bespoke joinery items and high specification T Point kitchenettes with new glazed meeting room partitions and new suspended ceilings throughout to create a fresh and modern look to the office space.
The client brief was to create a light and airy workspace with a designer touch. In this instance we rejected conventional lowered ceilings for all suspended services and CloudSorba® acoustic panels. The result is a bright, clean and functional working space.
When ITV Meridian were compelled to relocate their television studios quickly, we responded. News and weather studios were constructed to strict audio and sound criteria as well as media, break-out and reception. The transition was seamless as ITV commenced broadcasting from their new state of the art facility.
