The Brief

Hatlapa (Macgregor) were relocating to new premises and this provided our design team with a blank canvas to create an innovative, cutting edge space for this forward-thinking marine engineering company.

Project Proposal

The project proposal was to create a large open plan feel to the main office as well as a welcoming reception, breakout area and specialist meeting rooms. The layout was designed to have an ergonomic and free-flowing feel which perfectly suited customer requirements. Mood boards were used, allowing client input to carefully chose fabrics and a colour palette to pay homage to the company’s maritime heritage. Further use of subtle LED lighting and smart acoustic solutions completed the dynamic and user-friendly spaces. From initial conception, through the design development and construction stages, EI Projects delivered a visually striking and functional turnkey project. A successful handover, on program and on budget.
